PLACEMENT Audition Required: Saturday, April 5th (afternoon)

Commitment Day: Friday, June 20th, 8-9pm (immediately following the showcase of the Ballet, Etc. Intensive)






 

Requirements for Mini Corps

  • CommCommit to FULL season (10 months) AND 2 performances (listed below)

  • Ages 4-5

  • Must be enrolled in the Ballet/Tap followed by 15 minute rehearsal each week (day/time TBA) 

  • Must enroll in ONE summer class (dancer’s choice)

  • Allowed 2 absences per semester; no absences one month before performance; if missing more than 2 rehearsals or missing one month before performance, a private lesson with your choreographer will automatically be scheduled and be paid by the family account

  • REQUIRED performances

    • Spring Ballet: “Aurora Ballerina”

      • Photo Day: Saturday, January 31st

      • In Studio Rehearsal: Saturday, February 28th

      • In Theater Dress Rehearsals & Performances: Saturday, March 7th (all day)

      • Cast Party: Saturday, March 21st

    • Recital

      • In Studio Rehearsals: Full Team: May Saturdays

      • Performance: first weekend in June

  • Optional Community performances

  • Optional travel for trainings and/or performances

  • Auditions: Saturday, April 5th (afternoon)

  • Signing Day: Thursday, June 19th (last day of the Ballet Intensive), 8-9pm

  • Costs:

    • Commitment Fee: $50 (paid upon acceptance into team)

    • Team gear: $45 (Team sweater; due May 15th; returning Corps do NOT have to purchase again)

    • Optional extras: Leotard $35, Skirt $25

    • Monthly tuition for class & rehearsal (additional $30/month)

  • Parents required to join SLACK app for communication

  • Parent must serve on ONE committee for SB or recital

    Requirements for Spark Corps

    • Must be enrolled in Spark Ballet and Ballet Corps rehearsals (day/time TBA) plus ONE additional technique class

    • Must enroll in ONE summer intensive: Ballet, Etc.(if not able to attend, written request to attend a different intensive must be submitted by email)

    • Allowed 2 absences per semester; no absences one month before performance; if missing more than 2 rehearsals or missing one month before performance, a private lesson with your choreographer will automatically be scheduled and be paid by the family account

    • Must enroll in ONE summer intensive, Ballet & PBT (if not able to attend, written request to attend a different intensive must be submitted by email)

    • Allowed 2 absences per semester; no absences one month before performance; if missing more than 2 rehearsals or missing one month before performance, a private lesson with your choreographer will automatically be scheduled and be paid by the family account

    • Must enroll in Summer Glow Ballet class

    • Allowed 2 absences per semester; no absences one month before performance; if missing more than 2 rehearsals or missing one month before performance, a private lesson with your choreographer will automatically be scheduled and be paid by the family account

Solos, Duets, & Trios

Solos

  • Invited by choreographers

  • Must be on Crew, Corps, or Ensemble for at least ONE full season with limited absences and demonstrated commitment to improvement of technique and team building

  • Required to be enrolled for the matching style for the FULL season

  • Commits to 2.5 hours of summer private lessons to learn full solo; must be complete by August 1st and ½ hour cleaning session before competition over winter break or in January

  • Can choose style & choreographer; song will be chosen by choreographer and edited by the studio. Costume to be determined by choreographer & creative director

  • Commits to Friday rehearsals 2x/month (can choose 1st & 3rd or 2nd & 4th with the opportunity to makeup missed rehearsals) as a class-included with tuition. Can choose the time slot that works best for your family: 4:15pm, 5pm, or 5:45pm. OR Private lesson option for 2 privates/month.

  • Senior soloists will have the opportunity to perform their solo in ALL recitals

  • Performance Opportunities

    • Business Openings/Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

    • Feb. Competition (entry fee of approx. $180 included with your tuition)

  • Cost

    • Choreography Fee: $260/dancer

    • Costume fee: determined by selection

    • Monthly tuition covers bi-weekly rehearsals with limited dancers/dances plus variety of teachers, formulated feedback, scheduled spring photo time, 2 tickets to end of season showcase, competition entry fees/admin/teacher at comp

    • Private lesson option: $65.50/month for two 30 minute private lessons each month, scheduled based on teacher & studio availability plus $180/dance competition entry fee (must be paid by Aug. 15th). Must schedule spring photos during makeup time.

Duets/Trios

  • Decided by dancers and families. Can be cross-teams/not on the same team

  • Must be on Crew, Corps, or Ensemble for at least ONE full season with limited absences and demonstrated commitment to improvement of technique and team building

  • Commits to 3 hours of summer private lessons to learn full dance; must be complete by August 1st and 45 minute cleaning session before competition

  • Can choose style & choreographer; song will be chosen by choreographer and edited by the studio. Costume to be determined by choreographer & creative director
